Wolf River
"Superior Siberians & Shibas"
Wolf River Siberians, on the Northwest shore of Lake Superior, has been a registered kennel with the Canadian Kennel Club since May 1993. I have done some co-breeding with our daughter Megan with her CKC registered (1999) kennel name of Gemoni.
We do not breed our Shiba Inu.
Our Goal:
I strive to produce healthy, happy siberians for pets and for showing in many disciplines, conformation, obedience, agility and rally-o to name a few.
We have also sledded our dogs recreationally in the past, but no longer do so.
I believe that temperament should be first and foremost in any breeding program and we strive to have the best temperaments possible with our dogs.
My breeding stock are cleared by canine opthamologists at a year with follow-up checkups.
Hips are xrayed and certified by OFA (USA) or OVC (Canada) once they are 2 years of age or older. Usually I have a litter every one or two years.
